Location and removal of underground tanks
Several underground petroleum product tanks are currently buried in Quebec. Our company has the experience and skills needed to remove these tanks.
According to the Ministry of the Environment, the presence of an abandoned or obsolete underground petroleum product tank constitutes a contamination risk for the soil of a property.
Removing an underground reservoir involves the following steps:
- Locate the tank (inside or outside)
- Extracting the surrounding soil
- Pumping out remaining liquid residues
- Cleaning and dismantling petroleum equipment and disposing of dismantling materials
- Tank transport, if required
- Recycling of oil, light fuel oil, other materials; dismantling materials
